Draft — not yet in force
This document is complete except for the identity of the controller, which is marked below and must be filled in before publication. Until then it is published for review, not as a binding document.
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Snapolo — the mobile app and the website. Version v2026-08-24, effective 2026-08-24.
1. Who provides Snapolo
Snapolo is provided by [TO BE COMPLETED: legal name], [TO BE COMPLETED: registered address], [TO BE COMPLETED: country] (registration: [TO BE COMPLETED: registration number]), reachable at [TO BE COMPLETED: contact e-mail].
By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not create an account.
2. Your account
You need an account to use Snapolo. Accounts are for individuals; you must be at least 16 years old and give an e-mail address you control.
Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication. Keep your credentials to yourself — anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access.
One person, one account. Creating additional accounts to get around the free monthly quota is a breach of these terms.
3. What the service does, and what it does not promise
Snapolo stores photographs of your receipts, extracts what it can read from them, and shows you your spending: totals, categories, shops, price history and search across everything you have scanned.
Extraction is automatic and it is not always right. A model reads a photograph of a printed slip; it can misread a price, a date, a quantity or a shop name, and it can miss a line entirely. Every scan produces a draft you review before it is saved, and you can edit anything afterwards.
Snapolo is a record of what you bought, not an accounting system and not tax advice. Do not rely on its figures for anything that has consequences without checking them against the receipt.
4. Plans, prices and billing
| Plan | Receipts per month | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 5 | 0 |
| Plus | 50 | 19.99 PLN per month, or 189.99 PLN per year |
A receipt counts against the quota when it has been processed, whether or not you keep it — deleting a receipt does not give the scan back. The quota resets each calendar month.
Subscriptions are bought inside the mobile app through Google Play or the App Store. The store is the seller: it takes the payment, issues the receipt and handles refunds under its own policy. We receive only the fact of the purchase and its status.
A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it, and you cancel it in your store account rather than here. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
Prices include applicable tax where the store charges it. If we change a price, the new price applies from your next renewal and we tell you before it takes effect.
5. How you may use it
Use Snapolo for your own receipts and your own household spending. In particular, do not:
- upload other people’s documents where you have no right to do so;
- use the service to break the law, or to store material you have no right to store;
- attack, overload or probe the service, or try to reach data that is not yours;
- automate access outside the app, resell the service, or use it to build a competing dataset;
- create accounts in bulk, or otherwise game the free quota.
We may suspend an account that does any of these, and we will say why.
6. Your receipts stay yours
You keep every right you have in the images and data you upload. You give us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store your images and data, to process them (including sending them to the providers named in the Privacy Policy for text extraction), and to show them back to you across your devices.
That permission ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to build products for anyone else.
7. Availability
We aim to keep Snapolo running and to keep your data safe, but we do not promise a particular level of availability, and there is no service-level agreement. The service can be interrupted for maintenance, by a provider’s outage, or by a fault.
Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. The export in the app’s privacy settings produces exactly that.
8. Ending it
You can stop using Snapolo at any time and delete your account from the app. Your account closes at once and you are signed out; the data is erased 30 days later. Until then you can undo the deletion by signing in at snapolo.app/restore.
Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a subscription bought through a store — cancel that in your store account, or you will keep being charged.
We may terminate an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or if we stop offering the service. Except where a breach makes it inappropriate, we give reasonable notice and time to export your data.
9. Liability
Snapolo is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for decisions taken on figures the service extracted without you checking them.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited: death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else the law does not permit to be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything here.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of [TO BE COMPLETED: country], without displacing the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.
If something goes wrong, write to us first — most things are settled that way. As a consumer in the EU you may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms are versioned. The current version is v2026-08-24, effective 2026-08-24.
When we publish a materially different version we ask you to accept it again, and the acceptance is recorded against that version. If you do not accept, you can continue until the new version takes effect and then delete your account and export your data.
