Search across every receipt, product and shop you have scanned. Rename a product once — the shop printed it in caps and abbreviated — and it is fixed on every receipt you already had.
They are one account and one set of receipts. Which one you reach for depends on what you are doing.
The camera is on your phone, so scanning is too. There is no way to photograph a receipt from a browser, and the app does not pretend otherwise.
